4 IR Centers for Excellence in December

5 million jobs are likely to be at risk in the next 10 years. However, new jobs will be created for 10 million people. This will require skill development and acquisition of soft skills. And in addition to achieving that skill, 4 IR Centers for Excellence will be established jointly with the World Economic Forum to bring Smart Bangladesh to the leadership level. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak informed so at the opening ceremony of the 'Graduate Employment' program in the private sector at a hotel in the capital on Sunday. While speaking as a special guest at the event, he said that the youth of the country are now earning foreign currency at home as internet connection has already been made easy and accessible. Freelancing, BPO and e-commerce are consolidating the economic base of the country. 25 thousand startups have been created. 6 lakh 50 thousand freelancers in the world have brought Bangladesh to the second stage in freelancing in the world. At the end of his speech, State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that this morning he had instructed Bangladesh Computer Association to create OSS platform to provide all kinds of software services from one platform. He said, I have instructed the Bangladesh Computer Council to develop this software solution platform under the EDS project to develop a one-stop digital service platform for business leaders in the non-business sector. Sirajul Islam, Executive Director, Investment Development Authority presided over the event while Ridwan Mujib Siddique, Strategic Advisor of UNDP Bangladesh spoke virtually. Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman, UNDP Bangladesh Resident Representative Sudipta Mukherjee and BIDA Executive Member Mohsina Yasmin spoke among others. Prime Minister's Private Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman was present as the chief guest in the event.
